Assortment of pastries

My french toast

Archived pictures from a brunch in 2008 at Berkeley's La Note Restaurant Provencal. The wait can be long but it is rather delicious. If you get a chance, choose the patio in the back when its nice weather to enjoy the fresh CA air and beautiful greenery.

Fette Sau BBQ

Because of the warm weather, I tend to think BBQ is the perfect go-to food to eat great food and relax with friends. In May, I ate at Fette Sau in Williamsburg. The food was delicious and when you're hungry, you can eat a lot. You order by weight, and I highly suggest the brisket and ribs. Fette Sau was on my mind as I was commuting through this horrible humid weather. I think I need to go back asap!

Pretzel Croissant

The perfect breakfast pastry or snack is the pretzel croissant. It can be a little pricey at $3.75 so its only for special occasions.

The Spotted Pig

Figs wrapped in bacon

Corn soup

Sampler of vegetables
Burger with a mountain of shoestring fries

We went to The Spotted Pig after our afternoon tea in the West Village. I've heard so much about this place and wanted to try since I've past this place several times. The figs wrapped with bacon was surprisingly delicious. Since I was full from the Isaphan dessert, I had the corn soup. Delicious and flavorful, it was the perfect meal to a gloomy day.

Bosie Tea Parlor

Charming and quiet street. A cute koala bear stuffie greets you.

Isaphan

Scone with clotted cream

A beautiful raspberry tart

Afternoon tea with friends at Bosie Tea Parlor in the West Village. I had the Isaphan, and it reminded me of my dessert at Laduree. I can't wait to go back.

Smoked meat poutine with fries, gravy and cheesecurds at Mile End

Ice cream sandwich from Brooklyn Farmacy

On June 27, a lazy Sunday with an IKEA trip scheduled, we decided to take full advantage of a car and walking around Brooklyn. First stop, Dough for some donuts to go. Fluffy and excellent flavor combinations. Brunch at home made where I shared a toast with potato salad. French and enough food for two. Dinner at Mile End in Boerum Hill where I had my first poutine. Surprisingly, it was delicious since I'm not a fan of gravy. Last stop was Brooklyn Farmacy, an old-fashioned ice cream parlor.

A lot to eat in one day, but gladly walked it off as we walk to eat.

Find me in Beijing

Appetizer of crab cake and cold noodles

A healthy salad with Asian vinaigrette

Filet mignon with roasted potatoes

Strawberry and vanilla ice cream with hot fudge.

Before I started my internship, I needed to get out of the US and see something new. So, I went to Beijing and felt inspired by the architecture, culture, and the people. I started my trip off the best way with United.

What to do on a rainy Sunday in May

I love eating brunch and Williamsburg has so many new restaurants. The Cubano Social was a new restaurant at the time that was fun to try for the first time with friends. It has great atmosphere and charm. Perfect place to go since it was raining at the time. The empanadas was excellent, but the french toast was the best because of the Cuban bread.

A gathering of friends

baked strawberry pancake

chicken and biscuit. (the chicken is deboned!)

egg in a nest

dessert of bacon doughnuts

In March, friends from home came to visit NY and to see the premiere of my short film at our film festival. To celebrate our reunion, we went to Traif in Brooklyn. The food was delicious visually and in taste.
